This is ReviewTheory.com’s Terms of Service. This Terms of Service, or “ToS” is your agreement with us. By following this ToS, you agree that breaking any of it’s laws and rules will automatically garner a deletion of your account and ban of your IP Address from ReviewTheory.com, or “RT”.

You have to be 16 years or older in order to join the site and post on our forums. There shouldn’t be any situations on our forum of people under 16 talking to people their parents don’t want them to talk to.

Any content on the site is ours, just make sure you let us know if we aren’t allowed to repost something or use it as fact.

ReviewTheory.com is a news and review site that provides the latest news and information related to technology, games, cars, sports, movies, books, music and art. We thank you for your interest in RTt and are pleased to offer you the the tools, features, and functionality offered and accessible at RT (Which will be known as the “Service”) . By using the Service, as a “User” (which means that you simply browse the RT) you are stating that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and the Site’s Privacy Policy, as they may be amended from time to time in the future (see “Modifications” below).
You may not use the Service (Signing up for an account with RT) and you may not accept this Agreement if you are not of a legal age to form a binding contract with RT. Your right to access RT and utilize the Service is personal to you and is not transferable or assignable by to you to any other person or entity.
Your access and use of RT and the Services may be interrupted from time to time for any of several reasons, including, without limitation, the malfunction of equipment, periodic updating, maintenance or repair of RT or other actions that ReviewTheory.com, in its sole discretion, may elect to take.
You agree not to use RT or Services to: (a)violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation; (b) upload, transmit or store on the Site any materials which would infringe upon any copyright or intellectual property laws or rights of another person or entity; (c)upload, transmit or store any material that is abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, pornographic, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable; (d)upload, transmit or store any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation; (e)upload, transmit any material that contains adware, malware, spyware, software viruses, or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment; (f)stalk, harass, or harm another individual; (g)impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; or (h)interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers or networks connected to the Site, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to the Site.
You agree that upon creation of your account with RT, that you are being truthful about all your information that you submit to us, especially pertaining to your age and name. The use of another persons full name is prohibited and will result in termination of your account and banning of IP. RT is not responsible for anything that happens to you should you lie about your age.

Access, Interference, and Comments
You agree that you will not: Use any robot, spider, scraper, deep link or other similar automated data gathering or extraction tools, program, algorithm or methodology to access, acquire, copy or monitor the site or any portion of the RT, without OUR express written consent, which may be withheld in OURs sole discretion; Use or attempt to use any engine, software, tool, agent, or other device or mechanism (including without limitation browsers, spiders, robots, avatars or intelligent agents) to navigate or search the Site, other than the search engines and search agents available through the Service. Access, tamper with, or use any non-public areas of the Service or RT’s computer systems or the technical delivery systems of RT providers; you are also prohibited from using programs that may ‘help’ us. If you are caught using a bot that not only collects our data and reposts it, but also that may collect information based off of our ads.
Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network or breach any security or authentication measures used in connection with the Service and such systems and networks;
Attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software or programs used to provide the Service;
In regard to comments on the site, the User is prohibited from verbal abusing, stalking or doing anything that may be harmful or hurtful to another User. We understand that User’s who come here may be going through something and may be angry, however that doesn’t give you the right to name call, excessively curse, or belittle other Users. Any User that is breaking this rule, either in public in the Comments section of our Articles, but also in private on the forum’s Private Messages will be deleted and IP banned from RT.

User Content
You, the User, are responsible for all of the content which you submit or transfer to RT via the Service. RT allows users to upload files, information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags or other materials that you submit to the Site (collectively “UC”) and transmit them to Users. RT does not claim ownership of any User Content you submit for display or distribution to others via the Service.
You, the User, also agree that any files, photos, data, information, text, software, music and graphics that you do post are either (a) Yours or (b) You have the source owner’s permission to report it.

Our Rights to Your Content
RT understands the rights of the User, and will not (a) Reuse (b) Steal or (c) Try to make money off of anything that belongs to another User. However, remember that anything posted on our site, not owned by someone else or some corporation, can be used by RT whenever they want, unless of course the User states that we are not to reuse it.
The above not only pertains to images, but also news and other text written either in our comments section, forum or email.

Copyright Infringement
RT respects the intellectual property rights of others. Accordingly, RT has a policy of removing UC that violate copyright law, suspending access to the Site (or any portion thereof) to any user who uses the Site in violation of copyright law on a recurring base (”Recurring Offender”), and/or terminating in appropriate circumstances the account of the Recurring Offender who uses the RT in violation of copyright law. Pursuant to Title 17 of the United States Code, Section 512, RT has implemented procedures for receiving written notification of claimed copyright infringement and for processing such claims in accordance with such law. If you believe your copyright is being infringed by a user of the RT, please provide written notice to the following RT email address:

Your written notice must: (a) contain your physical or electronic signature; (b) must identify the item(s) that are being used in an infringing manner (c) leave a email we can get back to you with (d) contain proof that the item(s) in question are indeed owned by you (e) any other information, including Name, Number, and Company (If Applicable) that you work for/contacting us on behalf of.

Termination of RT Account
RT reserves the right to investigate your use of the site at any time, for any reason what so ever. If we see that you are in direct violation of any of the rules or policies of our site, we will terminate your account with RT and ban your IP Address to keep you from doing something harmful ever again.
You, as the User, also has the right to terminate your account with RT at any time, for whatever reason. Please, just delete the account in your WordPress Details and the account will be terminate on our website however should you ever return, we do keep your forum account active so you do not lose any post(s) made while you had a good standing account with RT!

Modifications to RT’s ToS
RT reserves the right to change anything we want either in this ToS or in our Privacy Policy. We will notify our Users, you, of any changes to both documents so that you are well informed of the current site situation. Should you disagree with anything in the modified ToS, you may (a) Terminate you account and (b) delete any data you put on our servers, any posts you made, or any images/videos you may have said we could use.

Modifications to the RT
RT reserves the right to discontinue services of our site. Not only that, but we also reserve the right to change anything, template wise or other, on our site without having to ask for User permission or to notify the user of said change, as long as said change is not to the ToS. Should you dislike what changes we made, you may as the User delete your account and stop visiting RT.

No Commercial Use
You may not resell, distribute, provide access to any other individual, entity or user, or use to operate a Web site or otherwise generate income, either directly or indirectly, from RT or Services.
